Eleven applications for the Innovation Challenge P3Dx

Eleven interested parties and consortia applied for the Innovation Challenge P3Dx before the 24 February 2025 deadline. In the coming dialogue round they will work on their final submissions.

TNO launched the Innovation Challenge P3Dx for the development of innovative, lab-independent tests that can be deployed both in future pandemic situations and for non-pandemic applications. The aim is to stimulate a robust value chain for decentralised test innovations — from manufacturing through to data delivery — and through this to contribute to better preparedness and broader applicability of testing technologies.

The P3Dx team is very pleased with the eleven applications. The deadline for submitting a full innovation proposal is 17 April 2025. An independent evaluation committee will make its selection in early May, distributing up to one million euros across the best proposals. With this Innovation Challenge, P3Dx is building an ecosystem of parties that can support the Netherlands in a future pandemic situation.
